All non-participating guests/visitors must wait outside at all times. There are good viewing points of the circuit to watch.

There's nothing like starting young! At Thruxton Kart Centre, any budding racing driver from 8 years old can go karting on our 365m Club Circuit and experience motor racing for themselves.

CADETS

Our 4bhp, 120cc Cadet kart, for 8-12-year-olds (4’ 4”/1.32m. Min leg measurement 74cms from mid-thigh to heel) enables cadets to experience what real karting is like but with all the safety features you'd expect for children. These karts are fitted with adjustable seats, full wrap-around bodywork, double-adjustable pedals and variable electronic rev limiters.

JUNIORS

for the slightly older karter, our 5.5bhp, 160cc Stratoskarts are available for 12-15-year-olds (5’ 0”/1.52m). A very versatile kart, the Stratos is forgiving enough for junior drivers but still fast enough for experienced karters.

ARRIVE AND DRIVE

From 20 per person

The quickest way to get out on the track, our Arrive and Drive events run throughout the year. Kit up and drive, they're perfect for children just getting started with karting. Arrive and Drive sessions start from £20 for 15 minutes. Due to COVID-19 and required procedures, all Arrive and Drive sessions must be booked in advance so please call our Operations team on 01264 771 988 for the latest information and availability – and to book your place.

JUNIOR KARTING PARTIES

Why not host your next birthday party at Thruxton Kart Centre. We're fully equipped to handle parties of any size for ages 8 years old and up. Here's a sample of what we can do:

• Arrive & Drive at £20 per head per session - simply turn up and kart! Our simplest format for when you just want to get behind the wheel and kart!
• Junior Grand Prix Race (Format 1) £50 per head - For those that want a bit more, this is a proper race format for a minimum of 5 drivers.
• Junior Grand Prix Race (Format 2) £35 per head
• Weekdays & School Holidays - we can be flexible with timings on the above formats as these days are usually less busy. We can also arrange bookings for after school hours - this is seasonal from mid-April through to mid-September.

JUNIOR GRAND PRIX

Our junior grand prix races offer young karting enthusiasts the chance to experience the thrills of participating in a full race event. Consisting of a practice session, heats and a final; these events are perfect for competitive young karters, with trophies at the end for the winners. Great for families too.

Available for 8 to 15 year olds. 8-11 year olds will race in our Cadet Karts (minimum height: 1.3m), while 12-15 year olds will drive our Stratos Karts (minimum height: 1.52m). Duration depends on the number of participants and will range from approximately 1hr 45mins to 3hrs.

A minimum of 5 participants are required to run a race.

GRAND PRIX 1 - £50 PER PERSON

• Arrive & sign-on
• Suits, helmets & briefing
• 1 x 8 minute practice
• 2 x 8 minute heats
• 1 x 8 minute final
• All drivers go into a final

GRAND PRIX 2 - £35 PER PERSON

• Arrive & sign-on
• Suits, helmets & briefing
• 1 x 5 minute practice
• 1 x 5 minute heats
• 1 x 10 minute final
• All drivers go into a final

JUNIOR INDIVIDUAL ENDURANCE

£45 per person

For those keen racing drivers who want a challenge, this format features a long 20-minute race where anything can happen!

Individual Endurance events are available for 8 to 15-year-olds. 8-11-year-olds will race in our Cadet Karts (minimum height: 1.3m) while 12-15-year-olds will drive our Stratos Karts (minimum height: 1.52m).

• Sign-on and Briefing
• 8 minutes practice/qualifying
• 20 minutes race
• Prize giving
